The Nissan Maxima has long provided the thrills and the performance of a sports car while setting the style trend for sedans. Well, Nissan will take that concept to the next level soon when the recently unveiled “Sports Sedan Concept” drops its concept moniker and officially becomes the new Maxima.
The all-new Maxima will combine practicality, functionality and style. In other words, you can call it a sports car with four doors. This radical new car will change the way we look at sedans this fall, because it has a chiseled and aggressively modern design — yet it also has four doors. It actually seems to me as something from a movie with a setting 20 years from now. It seems quite forward thinking.
The Sports Sedan Concept that was debuted early this year is quite the looker — and Japanese automaker says that the 2016 Nissan Maxima will not look very different from the SSC at all. Thus a Nissan Maxima in Inwood will be a striking vehicle with racy design featuring bold lines, curves, a floating roof and boomerang-shaped headlights. The v-shaped grille is new to Nissan, and will be carried over onto most of its cars and SUVs moving forward. A 2016 Maxima from NY Nissan dealers will have a glass top with wraparound glass in the front to further accent the appearance of a floating roof. The SSC also has a noticeably higher waistline, which gives the vehicle a very muscular vibe and look.
But the upcoming Nissan Maxima is not simply all style. It has surprising interior space and convenience as well, as it will still seat five and include plenty of comforts and conveniences designed for driver comfort and even an entire family.
Oh, and this sleek machine will save you some money by stretching out some fantastic fuel efficiency of up to 30 miles per gallon in the highway. Affordability will be another strong point for the all-new Maxima, which will start at just a hair over $32,000.
So be sure to stay on the look out for when these babies start rolling onto the showroom floor of Rockaway Nissan at 600 Burnside Ave. in Inwood, NY, this summer and then schedule a test drive so you can come experience the car that looks like a sports car and accommodates like a family sedan.
